D1. Approach to the desert

We start from Benicàssim, and in just two kilometers we begin the ascent to the Sierra de Oropesa. From there, we descend along a long and technical path to the Miravet ravine, which we will climb to reach the beginning of the demanding ascent to Monte Bartolo on its east side. This section combines a paved approach with hard ramps that will take us to the top, where breathtaking views await us. The descent along the southern slope is fast and exciting, and in a few minutes we will be back at the foot of this spectacular place, ready to return to Benicàssim, the ideal route to discover the Desert de les Palmes without detours!
