D3. Contrasts

What better way to know the Desert de les Palmes than going in a few kms from the coast, enjoying it, to the hidden corners and the heights that crown this mountain range. Leaving Benicàssim towards Oropesa del Mar by the Via Verde del Mar, which takes us through the old watchtowers, we ascend to reach the Marina of Oropesa del Mar to a privileged viewpoint of the coast, which will bring us by a considerable climb to Sierra de Oropesa. Technical descent and ascent of the Miravet ravine to reach the most demanding climb you can find in the Desierto de las Palmas, which will take us halfway up the climb to Monte Bartolo, which we will not complete because we will go to the west side of this place by the Ermita de les Santes. Quiet and nice climb, a walk along the paths of Pobla Tornesa and ascent to the Coll de la Mola to get closer to the sea again.
